Here is a little about me, Thomas Fan
Currently studying at Missouri S&T. I have studied many object oriented languages with experience in web development and network monitoring as well.
Projects and Involvement
Multirotor Robot Design Team
Developed drone software able to detect objects from the surrounding background. Blobs and objects were counted by software through color contrast analysis and thresholding. Worked in a subgroup for the Multirotor Robot Design Team drone project.
Gap Tech
Unit tested and developed backend code to retrieve and modify database queries directly. Renovated the data extracted by the API used by end users in addition to attending daily standups,participting in sprint planning sessions, and moving code through production on the price item planning team.
Wells Fargo Internship
Served 23 Crown Jewel web applications and refined queries, alerts, and transaction snapshots over the summer in the wholesale of wealth and investment software. By doing so, I specifically influenced billing fee calculations that resulted in diagnostics for over 100,000 service calls. In the process, I consulted various application performance monitoring (APM) tools to oversee database issues and server health, arranging weekly meetings to present report findings.
Asian American Association
Developed promotional campaigns and improved advertising strategies to promote activities attracting 70+ Asian American members. Oversaw fundraising opportunities and distributed promotions to expand our scope and increase membership.
ACM Website
Frontend and backend design on website structure ensuring that the ACM web website is able to function properly. Worked with website formatting, and functionality of payment fees.
Static Site Generator
A command line project that will parse markdown, restructured text, and resource files. Incompatible file types were also filtered from the parsing.
